An extremely important document should anything happen to you! Here are a few of the common questions we get asked…
Who should have a Will?
Anyone over the age of 18 who has any form of asset or has a child, should have a Will
What can I include in my Will?
You can include specific details about how your assets will be divided when you pass on. For example, what will happen to your house, cars, cash, and any other assets. You can also specify any final wishes, such as funeral arrangements etc.
Why do I need a Will if I have a child?
If you have dependent children, then you can leave instructions in your Will around who will care for them until they are no longer deemed to be minors. If you don’t have this stated, then it will be the law that decides.
What if I die without a Will?
It makes it very hard for your immediate family to receive your assets after your death. There are a number of processes that they will have to go through and this can be a costly and lengthy process. Step children and other unrelated people will be unlikely to receive anything from your estate.
Is getting a Will simple?
Yes, we talk you through the whole process and it is relatively simple. Our team are experts on Wills and can advise you on what needs to be included.
How often do I need to revisit it?
We review our Wills every 5 years, so will check in with you to see if anything has changed. However if anything changes within this time, then let us know!
