Bill Jones


Bill Jones graduated from Auckland University in 1981 and joined Hamerton Chappell Dumbill and Moore in Whakatane later that year after moving back to his “home town” with wife Carmel.

During his many years with the firm, Bill’s principal areas of practice have been property and commercial transactions, family trusts and estate planning, estate administration and Maori land matters.

Bill is a life member of the Eastern Bay of Plenty Cricket Association.  He retired from senior cricket as a player and administrator in 2003 but has retained an involvement with “golden oldies” cricket since then as well as enjoying nine holes of golf from time to time, participating in the firm’s business house tennis team and supporting the All Blacks, the Black Caps and Manchester United.

Bill is an honorary solicitor for a number of local organisations and clubs including the Eastern Bay of Plenty Riding for the Disabled Association, the Eastern Bay of Plenty Playcentre and the Whakatane Tennis Club.
