Angela Kershaw
Angela joined Hamertons in 2010 and was appointed as an Associate in 2011. Angela is in the Litigation Team and heads Hamertons’ Family Law practise. Angela studied law at Waikato University and then moved to Whakatane to commence practise as a Family Lawyer in 2005.
Angela subsequently spent three years in London working as a Child Protection Solicitor, during which time she was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales. Having loved the time she spent in Whakatane Angela returned to New Zealand in 2010 to join Hamertons.
Angela’s expertise lie in Care of Children Act work, Relationship Property, Adoption, Child Support, Protection of Personal and Property Rights Act matters, Family protection matters, Domestic Violence, Child Youth and Family matters, Mental Health, and general litigation. Angela is a member of the Family Law Section. Angela has been involved in appellent Court work in both New Zealand and the UK.
Angela’s interests include netball, travel, fishing and relaxing with her husband Mike and friends.
