Probably Hamertons’ biggest lover of fauna, Kyla Johansen has a keen interest in Animal Law and has served as a committee member of the Animal Legal Defence Fund whilst at Waikato University and given her time as a volunteer for the RSPCA.
Additionally, Kyla’s primary areas of practice include Rural, Residential Conveyancing, Estate Planning and Asset Protection, Commercial Law, Wills and Trust Administration.
Kyla is a current member of the New Zealand Animal Law Association and she hopes to devote a part of her future career to improving policy and education surrounding animal care and welfare across New Zealand.
Like many of her Hamertons colleagues, Kyla loves involving herself in the local community. She is an active member of Rotary Whākatane Sunrise and acts as a trustee, advisory and general dogsbody to a number of charitable trusts in the Eastern Bay of Plenty.
Away from the office, Kyla’s best moments are relaxing with her brood of four lovely children and their large extended family.
