Passionate about working in the Eastern Bay of Plenty and resolving legal challenges for a diverse range of clients, Heather Tucker offers expertise in all areas of Family and Employment law.
A graduate of the University of Auckland where she was awarded an LLB Honours degree, Heather is an admitted Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand, with two years she spent working as a Judges’ Clerk in the Employment Court providing valuable insight into court processes. Prior to joining Hamertons in 2014, Heather spent three years at prominent big-city firms Simpson Grierson and Schnauer & Co.
She’s a business whiz, too, with a BCom degree, also from the University of Auckland, eight years’ experience running her own Human Resources company specialising in outplacement support and career planning, and a further twelve years managing a family vending and wholesale business.
Her specialities include representing clients in Family Court and in the Employment Relations Authority, where her commitment to positive outcomes include guidance throughout the legal process.
A mother of four adult children, two of whom have seen the light and also moved to live in the beautiful Eastern Bay of Plenty, Heather is also the proud Farmor (Swedish for paternal grandmother) to three delightful grandchildren. She thoroughly enjoys all the recreational activities on offer in our region, including bush walking, swimming, kayaking and mountain biking. Despite all that busy-ness, Heather still finds the time to volunteer at Baywide Community Centre in Whakatāne.
